SGHS Football Players Break a Leg in Off Season
I attended the flying rehearsal this Saturday to see how things are coming along with this year's SGHS musical. While there I talked with Bob Mowery, Gray Mowery's father, who happened to mention that Gray has more bruises from rehearsing this musical than three years as a Texas Varsity 5A football offensive lineman. Gray Mowery, one of six football players in this year's SGHS musical production, is playing the role of the Beast in the Disney Musical, Beauty and the Beast. Using Hall and Associates flying systems they fly this 260 pound offensive lineman, Gray Mowery, gracefully above the stage while he rotates supported by a hidden support system which concentrate all of this force on some parts of the body that aren't accustomed to such force and of course tend to bruise. Gray is doing whatever it takes to make this year's production memorable for all, even if it does make some of Gray's skin a little black and blue.
